Matthew Jacques

Matthew specializes in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, and life’s many adjustments. Providing that space for client-centered care has benefited clients of all ages to navigate their journey and write a new chapter in their story. The population focus has been the young adult and early adulthood populations. 18-25 is the most formative and important to building an individual’s identity and future. The goal is to assist with this transition from dependent to independent working within a strength-based approach.

His therapeutic approach has roots in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). By reinforcing the client’s sense of the self, they will learn to challenge any thought patterns and belief systems that have formed since childhood.

Matthew’s approach to the field has always been one which allows for encounters with people from many diverse backgrounds and lived experiences. It is through these encounters that a person grows in knowledge of self and others.
